This Year Is The Year To Do, Or Do Not, There Is No Try
So, if you haven’t already noticed, today my mind is on Yoda. The master mind of the Jedi and the ultimate voice of reason. One of his famous quotes is, “Do, Or do not, There is no try.” I couldn’t relate that to this year more than any other year. It might sound funny, cliché or even modest at most but here it is in your face again. As most of you know, Tangible Triumph is to motivate you through life, inspiration, motivation. What can I say?
We have all faced hardship in life and right now most people are coming up with a list of goals, resolutions and even accomplishments they wish to hit by next year. Why? To feel good about themselves, set standards and even become someone better than who they are today. Great! That is one step in the right direction and I commend you for that. We all need to have the mind set of a go getter. We need to be a doer if we wish to accomplish anything in the near future.
Now, here is where I can say that you have one ultimate option. That option is, the second you realize that you are to do is the moment that it becomes reality. The second you decide, “Hey, I’m going to do this” is the moment that it should happen. What does that mean? That means that in that very moment your life should change, forever. If your goal is to quit smoking, start right now. If your goal is to become more fit, when is a better moment than this very second? Looking forward to changing your diet? Why look any further? Do, or do not, there is no try.
What Does It Mean To Do?
Just do it, another saying most of us have ingrained within our minds due to the massive marketing scheme of Nike. Let us get real here and remember this monumental saying that is easy to remember. Just do it. If your check engine light is on and you are unsatisfied with an area of your life there is only one option to get to the other side. That is to start creating an environment that you are comfortable with for yourself.
Once you start doing these things here’s a word from the wise. People will begin to change and become distant from you. That is okay, they were not meant for you to begin with. The world will become a different light in which you look at it from. The lens of perspective that you are now looking at things through has become one of positivity. Harness that. But, always remember that you will stumble along the way and that is okay. Get back up, dust yourself off and get back to it! Not only does this have a sense of gain added to it but allows you to reconcile with sense of why you are doing what you are doing.
Question For The Day
What is it that you have been telling yourself that you have been wanting to do?
Do not look at this from the perspective of a new years resolution, that is the last thing I want you to do. What is it that your heart tells you to do on a daily basis that you have not been doing? Where does your mind go when you dream about the life you wish to have? These are all valid questions to ask yourself while on your journey to self discovery. Remember what it is at your core that have you wanting more.
