Welcome Shannon’s Sanity To Team Tangible

Shannon’s Sanity Introdcution

Hello readers. Team Tangible welcomes Shannon’s Sanity. I am honored to be joining the Tangible Triumph Family. I’m not one for talking about myself unless it benefits others but it has been brought to my attention I should probably introduce myself, haha. So here we go!

So a little bit about me, I’m a 90’s kid but my soul was born in the 60s. I love Elvis, Sinatra, The Carpenters, The Beatles and pretty much any of the “Oldies” but goodies, even Classic Rock and Country. I love classic cars, driving and ogling. My daily driver is a 1976 Chevette, I also have a ‘65 Mustang convertible or you can find me with my other cars in our collection. There are huge benefits to falling for an old soul mechanic.

I love singing and music as a whole. Photography is one of my passions and oh, did I tell you? I love animals. I’m a crazy cat lady in training. Did I mention, I’m super CHEAP! Like Dave Ramsey says, “Live like no one else, so later you can live like no one else.” However, even Dave Ramsey might think our way of life is insane, or extreme to say the least. It isn’t that I don’t like spending money.. It’s more that I don’t see too much of a need to splurge.

Even though I have a full time job, I make money wherever I can, picking up odd jobs if I have the time. But my full time job is at STEMPilot, a company that builds flight simulators for schools to use as hands-on, project based learning tools. Obviously they are used for STEM classes. If you don’t know, STEM means Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Want To Know More About Me?

I started there in 2014 packing boxes to help the company move locations. But as a graduate of a Tech High School where I studied manufacturing, I quickly moved out of that position and onto the floor doing the fabricating. From there I slowly worked my way up the ladder doing computer builds, unit assembly and even tech-support. I have done everything in the process of making the simulators other than welding. Now I am in the office writing lesson plans, curriculums and worksheets for schools, graphic design/marketing, sales, customer service, tech support, voice overs for the tutorial flights in the software and so much more.

Life can be hard and I have been thrown more than enough curveballs. But if I have learned anything it is that those curveballs won’t ever stop coming. It might get switched up a bit but that ball will still come your way, so it is best to just take a deep breath and swing. You don’t always know where that ball is going to land, you do know it will eventually come down. Life is like that. Everything happens for a reason, you just might not know it yet.

My goal here with Tangible Triumph and Team Tangible as Shannon’s Sanity is to use my experience, my hardships, my life and philosophy to help answer your questions and get through some of those hard times. If I can make even one life better it is worth it.
