Today’s Story
“As a builder we tend to look at things a different way. Throughout my entire life I have learned what it has meant to truly build something with my own two hands. Each structure that has been hand tailored to my liking but also with the thought of whom I am building for. They say make it your own with each project that you get involved with.
Having the analytical thinking patterns as I do, each job I take extremely seriously. The crew that I work with along with myself have built structures for the Queen of England and the President of Italy. We have built a fence for a local French Farmer and even helped create an outhouse for a poor family on the outskirts of Spain. Oh and how about the time we created the staircase out of old wood from a shipwreck rediscovered in 1947. It was an old Viking ship.
With each experience I have taken on throughout the years I have learned a valuable lesson as I look upon the things that I have built. My two hands have erected structures that will continue to stand for years and possibly even once I am gone from this world. What an impact I can make if I just take the time to appreciate the work that I have done.
When you make something your own, it becomes an accomplishment and a success story. Not only can you make a difference for yourself but also someone else simply by caring.

Make It Your Own
As with everything in life when we are faced with a project or even just taking responsibility to make it your own is a process some may have trouble with. When you take on the sense that everything you do is up to you just remember you are not only helping yourself but also the world around you. When we take pride in the things that we do it gives a sense that can not be bought. Hard work and determination can lead to a great success story that had not only impacted the one who works but others.
We discussed the butterfly effect quite a few times and that is a point that I am making here. Everything has a ladder effect. When we fully commit ourselves to something it should never be given half effort. Make it your own! Even if you are there temporarily and just for a moment.
We should strive to give it our best every time no matter the outcome.
Question For The Day
What can you do today and commit yourself to 100 percent? Are there things in life that you are involved in that you do not give yourself to fully?
Remember that each task that you overcome is always a potential learning experience and a way to gain a foot to stand on. Every time we accomplish something good we reap the reward of feeling good about ourselves. Not in an egotistical way but rather with the sense that we are valued and appreciated.
Just remember when you commit yourself to a cause don’t fall off mid-race. When you half ass something, life will potentially half ass you back. If you give a little only a little will be given in return.
