Today’s Story
“The one who had waken up each day to the same, monotonous task’s. Playing life by the rule book and continuing the venture out into the world with the same playbook at hand. You see, Deborah had looked at life as though it were something you live and do at the same pace constantly. She had a structure so rigid that her saying was, “This is what it is and that’s it.” She had a hard time being able to see through to the good.
On certain day’s she was depressed and other’s even angry. Not sure why she had been given the same results on a daily basis and nothing more. The ironic part was, she did the same thing day in and day out. There was no room for improvement and not a vase out of place. As she slept at night she wondered, “Why is my life this way?“
Unable to make sense of the mental state that she had lived in for so many years, she finally met with an old friend one day. David had traveled the world and had seen many things. She asked him, “Dave, why am I not happy? How come life seems to always be the same?“
His answer was simple enough for her to understand, he spoke to her softly, “Deborah, you need to be willing to live life to the fullest. Get out there and experience what the world has to offer. Open up your mind.“
And so Deborah took David by the hand and they walked off into the sunset. No one has heard from Deborah since, but her son had gotten a postcard one day. When he opened it up it had one line and it said, “Take the leap of faith in the direction you wish to go and so you will be happy.“

See Through To The Good
So we talk about it all the time, structure and the ability to create habit and routine. These things are one of the most important placements in life that you can take on. The goal is to be structured enough to stay in line, being able to accomplish the milestones you set in place for yourself. On the other hand we must under stand that risk must also be involved to keep life fresh and interesting.
Feeling the sense that things are constantly the same means that maybe you have to switch some things up. Try messing around with a couple different ideas that you have been experimenting with. Get outside and start that garden you’ve been meaning to plant for the past two springs. Even read that book that we know is dusty on the cupboard. Talk to someone new today and get to understand someone else’s perspective.
Focus on yourself and try to be in tune with what you have to offer the world. See through to the good life has to offer. The opportunities are endless.
Question For The Day
What can you do today that’s different? Is there something you’ve been meaning to do that is outside of your comfort zone?
Life can definitely become stagnant and depression and pessimism are easily able to settle in. When this happens, it’s hard to catch yourself as the process is a slow one. If you notice that your mental health is starting to take a dive CATCH IT! There’s plenty we can do to distract ourselves and that doesn’t mean end up in the bottom of a bottle on the side of the creek.
Allow your process to fully evolve. Take the time to tender you mind. It is something that needs to be watered constantly and without diligent care it can become toxic at an extreme speed.
