“Searching day in and day out the lost soul has no bearing on what reality is and where it belongs. Unable to determine where it should rest to find meaning and purpose. Diligently focused on finding where to settle so it can begin to establish itself. Focused on latching to something to be thankful for with the wish of being complete. It has always been there, all along.
You see, the soul hadn’t realized where it simply rest is where it be. Always looking for more to be thankful for in stride of accomplishing more. Flowing through life as a river with no ending. Only to end up where it had began before.
As water fall’s from the leaf of a tree to water the side by the side of something great and stable. Never outreaching to the point where the water misses it’s intended purpose of helping create another wonder of nature. The seedling had been longing for the water in which it was created to receive.”
It Has Always Been There, All Along
Some of us tend to continue through life looking for more and more. Blindly seeking the fruits of life when in all reality the thing in which we should have been latching onto was in front of us the entire time. So, let me propose an idea. To be thankful for what we already have and to show gratitude towards what is freely given without effort should that be enough?
When we stop searching is when we find meaning to what we’ve already had. Life will allow us to continually search for something that is not there because we have the free will to seek what we choose. No, all of the answers to life will not easily present themselves to you but who is not to say you are looking to hard. Start with the simple things, for instance, saying thank you to the fact that you had woken up this morning.
The same can be put into the context of love. They always say, when you stop looking is when you find it. You will eventually find the meaning to life. Purpose will immediately happen when you least expect it. Success will fall upon your lap when it is decided that you work with what you have got instead of what you do not posses.
Take a hold of the little things that are taken for granted. They will allow you to accept bigger accomplishments when you are ready to receive them.
Question For The Day
What small things in life have you overlooked? Are there things that you take for granted that have more meaning than you had initially thought?
The struggle to find meaning is one that will never fully dissipate. We will continually long for more and wish we have had what we can not. But, with discipline and understanding that the wisdom be obtained from what we already posses will continue to unlock doors to more knowledge. There is a way out of the constant struggle of not being thankful enough. It’s easy if you allow it to happen.
Say, “Thank you.”
