Today’s Story
“Constantly trying to control and change the way life presents itself the student seems to blame all others before himself. Always right before the knowledge to be right is obtained. Knowingly doing what is sought after as the way it should be instead of learning what it could be. The misinterpretation of control settles in as control being something we actually have.
As a student of philosophy and the ability to ask the right question: some how the student comes to realize and accept… We control nothing.
With that revolutionary moment the students life is changed for ever. Content with the exact spot he is in and able to continue his journey to actually learn.“

Misinterpretation Of Control
Let me ask you, what do you honestly have control over?
It took me a long time to realize that most things are completely outside of my control. It’s bizarre to think about but once you put it into perspective the only things really within ones control are your thoughts, actions and direction in which you place your physical body. There’s not much else working within our favor.
We can obviously be a driving force towards to world outside of our body but to actually control anything is beyond our means. I have no control over what is going on outside of my front door let alone what is going in within the confinements of my own home.
Let your mind run astray right this moment and think for a second… Where are you and what do your feet feel like as they touch the ground? Can you feel your body? Do you hear your mind? What’s going on outside of those functions?
Be a student to life and learn as you move along. Knowledge and wisdom are gained once you realize you know nothing at all.
A very wise man once told me, I am a doctor but I know nothing. When I graduated from grad school I had more questions than answers.
Question For The Day
What is truly within your power and control? What are you overlooking that you can directly change?
When you spend time with yourself don’t be afraid to ask questions. There is plenty of time to spend on this planet with those around you and yourself.
Once we can accept that almost all things are outside of our control only then can we begin to grow.
