The long lost art of kindness seems to have disappeared within thin air. Looking for the benefit of oneself nonchalantly has become the norm. For the man to pull a chair out for the woman, not out of disrespect but honor. Not making eye contact with the beggar, rather than give a polite smile. Strolling past a veteran without batting an eye, less to say,”Thank you for your service.” To begin the day without thanking the universe and telling yourself, that you love yourself. The Art of Kindness has been lost.”

The unfortunately event has taken place right before all of our eyes. The art of kindness has become a myth and somewhat the loch ness monster of today’s age. Where the society has shifted to the, me society.

  • What’s in it for me?
  • Where am I going to benefit?
  • Will this make my quality of life better at the cost of another?

Please, don’t take this the wrong way, but where has the idea of thinking of others first gone? Kindness is vital to our survival.

My request is simple today, can you do something kind for another person today?

Kindness comes from morals and nothing more or less. Set your moral standards high, so you can choose to be the best person you can be.

If no one told you today that you are great, you are great!

  • Thank you for encouraging that we be intentionally kind. I feel your lament for kindness. I’ve experienced people watching me do something kind for a stranger then questioning me in confusion why I did it. Heartbreaking. Kindness should be a norm and not an exception. It’s my belief that an act of kindness to another says, “I see you. I want you to be happy.” It’s a way to offer a sense of acceptance and belonging. And we can all use more of that. May we be kind everyday.

    • Tina, I couldn’t agree with you more. It also develops a sense of community. There are many aspects of how kindness has an effect on the outside world. Kindness helps the world do what they must in the best way possible. I’m a firm believer in being the best version of yourself; everyday.

    • I couldn’t agree with you more. I am kind for a few reasons, the most important being that I enjoy seeing other people happy and to do good. Thanks for commenting!

      Have an awesome day,
