Morals, morals, morals. I know we all have a standard set of belief’s we operate off of on a daily basis.
“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
What morals do you stand by on a daily basis?
If your internal morals are not a habit of your everyday nature, then they are just acts that you perform to win others over. I go day to day, and watch people act in certain ways to win the audience. Hypocrisy at it’s finest.
I find myself pondering my thoughts late at night, wondering if the choices I’ve made are modest or purely for my own benefit. There has been times where I’ve even considered taking back an action that was put forth. The only way I can solidify my actions and words is if they firmly stick to my morals.
Why do I act out in the way that I do? Why do I say what I say? More importantly how can I be comfortable with knowing my choices and actions are truly the right ones?
I speak on a modest level and can devoutly say if my morals don’t stick to any of these questions, what I’ve done is wrong.
When I wake up in the morning, my main focus is to act in the benefit not only for myself but others around me, and to make the lives of those around me a more enjoyable experience. If I can touch one person’s life today, and make a difference my job is done. When I step foot out of the front door the next 10 hours are devoted to making others lives better, and that’s where my morals develop. White lies, beating around the bush, he said she said mumbo jumbo, it’s all devaluing your own character. Help others live life to the fullest, talk others up, and help those around you become better.
If no one told you today that they love you, I love you.

This was beautiful. It is a route to being our authentic selves, do we practice and project what we preach? I often also will end my day with reflection, did the actions I did today align with my values? is a question I ask myself, “did my day represent the person I want to be?”.
I love you too, Will. And, I love that you are the change that you want to see.
